The pottery workshop at Pottery Studio 1 in Philadelphia is a two-hour session for anyone who wants to try working with clay. Guests can choose a traditional pottery class or a combined pottery and painting experience, and they learn hand-building as well as wheel throwing. The workshop welcomes children from age three, teenagers and adults, and it suits individuals, couples, families and groups. Instructors guide every step, so no experience is necessary. Daily time slots from morning to evening make planning easy, and each participant leaves with a personalized ceramic piece, such as a mug, bowl or vase, after the studio fires it. A relaxed, social activity with a tangible result. Because the studio provides everything needed, there is nothing to prepare in advance. Come with curiosity and comfortable clothes, and the instructors will take care of the rest, from first touch of clay to the final firing.
