Community Legal Advisors, Inc called about a debt I already paid. What now?

I was shocked to get a call from Community Legal Advisors, Inc last week about an old balance they said I still owed. The problem is, I already settled this debt directly with the original company over a year ago. I even have a confirmation email and a bank statement showing the payment.

The person on the phone was polite but insistent that their records show an outstanding amount. I told them I wouldn't discuss it further until they sent me written validation. They agreed, but I haven't received anything yet. Meanwhile, they've called me three more times.

I checked my credit report right away and thankfully nothing new has shown up from them. But I'm worried they might report something if I don't keep engaging. I've kept all my paperwork and I'm documenting every call.

Has anyone else dealt with them coming after a debt that was already paid off? Do I just keep waiting for that validation letter, or should I send them a copy of my proof myself? I don't want this dragging out or hurting my credit over something I know I took care of. Any advice is appreciated.
