Hi! I'm trying to understand why people still use MACD when there are so many indicators now. Is it really better than RSI or Stochastic? Or is it just old-school thing? I want to focus on one tool first, but don't know which.

MACD is popular because it's simple and versatile. Unlike RSI or Stochastic, it shows momentum and trend at the same time. Beginners often start with MACD because you can see signals visually with crossovers and histogram changes. There's beginner guide that explains this well: https://forextester.com/blog/macd-indicator/. I use MACD for trend confirmation and RSI to check overbought/oversold conditions. It's not about one being better—it's about combining insights for better decisions. The histogram especially helps spot early changes in momentum before the crossover happens.

I like that approach. MACD first, RSI second. Makes learning manageable without feeling overwhelmed.
