What are the challenges of producing matching clothing sets?

I've noticed that matching clothing sets look simple but probably require more planning than individual garments. The top and bottom need to work together in color, fabric, fit, and overall appearance. I came across the apparel partner while exploring custom clothing production and started wondering about this. What are the biggest challenges when producing coordinated sets? Is keeping the fabric and color perfectly consistent difficult? I'd also be interested in knowing whether producing sets together makes development easier compared with ordering each garment separately.
