What would you actually sell on eBay?

My online store hasn't gone anywhere. I get a few sales when I throw money at ads, and the minute I stop, the whole place goes quiet again. eBay feels like it might give me a better shot since the buyers are already there, and a bigger audience could finally mean some actual profit. I just don't want to jump into something like phone accessories and spend the next six months fighting hundreds of sellers over the same customers. If you were opening an eBay store now, what would you actually sell?

Lampard

I wouldn't go anywhere near generic phone cases or chargers. There are too many identical listings, and the only way to get noticed is to keep cutting the price. Look for items where the buyer needs a particular model, size, or year, like a replacement part for an older appliance or an accessory for a discontinued camera. Once someone finds the exact match, saving another dollar usually matters a lot less.

Failure

The item still has to leave you some money once eBay takes its cut and you pay to ship it. A product can look profitable right up until one return wipes out what you made on the last three orders, so small items that are easy to pack are usually less painful at the beginning. The watchers, offers, and first sales will show you which direction has some life in it before you sink money into a full inventory.
